Respect for safety standards, worker health and the environment in which they operate are essential principles for SMC. In order to guarantee a high standard, the company has undertaken an environmental and safety policy which consists of:
Membership in a group of occupational physicians "GMT"
The delivery of first aid and emergency response training sessions for SMC staff dedicated to this task
The signage of safety instructions and the conducting of training sessions and information for factory staff on the wearing of protective equipment individual PPE (earplugs, helmets, safety shoes…)
The establishment of a joint committee made up of the general management and the representatives of the factory staff who study and validate the development strategies of the Environment and Safety
The periodic inspection and maintenance of electrical installations, overhead cranes, forklift, compressed air tank and fire-fighting equipment SMC is insured by approved technical inspection offices such as WTI
The preparation of the environmental impact assessment and the implementation of a selective sorting system regularly managed by recycling and recovery companies approved treatment
